TSG was founded in April 2009, by Tony Santomauro, TSG President, and a 35 year health and fitness veteran. Mr. Santomauro was the co - founder and former President of CAN DO Fitness Clubs, for the past 13 years, with locations in Wayne, Edgewater, Short Hills, and Princeton, New Jersey. The clubs range in size from 12,500 square feet to 70,000 square feet and serve over 12,000 members.
Before CAN DO Fitness, Mr. Santomauro served as Executive Vice President of David Barton Gyms, Sales & Marketing Director of Equinox Fitness Clubs, Vice President of Health & Tennis Corporation - New Jersey, and Director of the prestigious Vertical Club Collection in New York City. He is a contributing writer for “Club Industry – 5 Steps” series in Club Industry's Fitness Business Pro Magazine and is an Internationally Certified Black Belt (Taekwondo).
Deana Valente, TSG Senior Vice President, joined TSG in September 2009. Ms. Valente worked with Mr. Santomauro at CAN DO Fitness clubs, as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the past eight years. Prior to CAN DO Fitness, Ms. Valente served as an Institutional Sales Trader on “Wall Street” from 1992 - 2001. She joined CAN DO Fitness after realizing that she wanted to come back to her passion, which was the health and fitness industry, where she started her professional career as a fitness instructor in 1986 and worked her way up the ladder to Regional Manager of New York City for a very large health club chain.
Together Mr. Santomauro and Ms. Valente bring a total of 57 - years of health and fitness club experience. The network they have built throughout their many years in this industry is unsurpassed by anyone or any organization in this market.
